From the operation of high pressure steam boilers, semi-conductor wafer fabrication, right through to the production of infant formula and award winning beverages – Hydroflux offer a wide range of specialised demineralisation technologies. Our systems are designed to meet the most stringent quality requirements.

One of the many solutions we offer are high performance, high capacity FlooIX ion exchange systems. FlooIX ion exchange is commonly implemented in pulp and paper, mining and petrochemical processes. Their purpose is to demineralise large volumes of water for steam production used within processing plants.

Ion exchange is a chemical process and involves the exchange of dissolved cations (such as sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium) and dissolved anions (such as chloride, fluoride, sulphate, carbonate) and some weakly ionised species such as silica with hydrogen and hydroxyl ions within the resin matrix. The high selectivity of the resin matrix towards the dissolved impurities lead to their capture. The released hydrogen and hydroxyl ions combine to form water.

Hydroflux, in conjunction with our partners Flootech, manufacture a high capacity ion exchange process for demineralised water production, as well as return condensate polishing. Flootech and Hydroflux have a long history of successful demineralised water treatment projects.
