The 10th annual conference of the Pacific Water and Wastewater Association (PWWA) kicked off on Monday 7th August with a program for Young Water Professionals from around the Pacific. The theme of this year’s annual conference is “Water Supply in a Changing Environment” which directly recognises the increasing threats of climate variability, climate change and natural disasters and the resulting impacts on safe and sustainable water and adequate sanitation for Pacific Nations.

Hydroflux have been supporting sustainability in the Pacific Region with installations at resorts, hotels, mine sites, sewage treatment plants and industrial factories. With a multi-million-dollar biological wastewater treatment plant under construction in the region, and the recent supply of an advanced wastewater plant comprised of 3 containerised membrane biological reactors (MBR) to Musket Cove Island Resort treating wastewater to a standard suitable for reuse in irrigation we are eager to share our experience at the conference. Our process specialists will be on hand at the conference to provide advice on water, wastewater, tradewaste and sludge dewatering. Contact James Hall to arrange to meet up with a specialist at the conference.
