Hydroflux are deploying a HyWELL Chamber Filter Press (CFP) to be used in Westgold’s Fortnum Gold Mine, 160kM NorthWest of Meekatharra in Western Australia.
Hydroflux’s equipment will be installed in the gold room where gold bearing materials are washed into a hopper before being pumped into the HyWELL CFP. Westgold required a compact unit in a simple format that would help Westgold in executing their 5-year development plan.
The Fortnum Gold Project is in the western Bryah Basin, an area that encompasses Fortnum, Labouchere, Horseshoe and Peak Hill. The Gold Mine had existing plant that hadn’t been in operation for 10-years until Westgold acquired the mine in October 2015 and commenced a bold 5-year development plan that will see the mine recommissioned and improved.
It is common knowledge that Hydroflux prefers to use the HUBER Q-Press® for dewatering sludge generated by applications across most industrial sectors, when dewatering certain metal sludges or for low throughputs the use of a HyWELL CFP wins hands down.
